Celestial Serenade

In the hush of summer’s last dusk you first heard the cadence a chirp so elegant it sounded like moonlight captured in a crystal flute. In a weathered courtyard lit by the distant glow of stars perched upon a cool marble ledge, was a creature of impossible detail and shimmer.

A golden cricket, poised to strike up a nighttime concerto.  A tiny troubadour in gilded armor, an ode to mysteries lurking just beyond the garden wall. Legend says a cricket at your hearth brings good fortune. But this one brings a lucky lullaby wherever you roam.
